Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši welcomed a delegation from the French Senate to the parliament. He expressed interest in deepening cooperation between Slovakia and France, including the exchange of parliamentary experience, and appreciated the opportunity to meet with French partners in Bratislava.
He also emphasized his long-standing interest in visiting France and supported the idea of involving Slovak representatives in the youth program of the French Parliament. He highlighted the shared historical ties – such as the legacy of Milan Rastislav Štefánik – and investment opportunities. In this context, he also mentioned the positive experience of regional cooperation between Košice and Marseille during his tenure as mayor of Košice, and expressed interest in visiting French regions as part of an official trip. The French Senate was represented by Nicole Duranton, Thierry Meignen, and Alexis Lehalle. French Ambassador to Slovakia, Nicolas Suran, was also present.
