At the invitation of David Kasal (ANO), Chair of the Interparliamentary Group of Friends of Qatar, and with media support from The Business Soirée, the Chamber of Deputies hosted a reception for His Excellency Nasser bin Ibrahim Allenqawi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Czech Republic.
In his opening remarks, the ambassador thanked the Czech Republic and its government representatives for their support during the current tensions and conflict in the Persian Gulf region between the United States and Iran. “Qatar looks forward to the end of the military conflict, when the Czech Republic and Qatar will finally proceed with signing the investment protection agreement, thereby opening a new era of mutual trade and economic relations,” he said, among other things. David Kasal emphasized that the Czech Republic is keen to deepen cooperation and expressed his personal interest in helping organize a ministerial mission to Doha.
