Když přijde řeč na fotbalové giganty, budou určitě padat jména různých týmů – FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, Manchester United a mnoho dalších. V elitní společnosti ale nemůže chybět německý klub, který letos oslavil 120 let své existence – Bayern Mnichov. Je třicetinásobným mistrem Německa, vyhrál 33 domácích pohárů, získal 12 prestižních mezinárodních trofejí, jeho hodnota je odhadována na zhruba 1,5 miliardy amerických dolarů. Na jeho dresech vždy zářila hvězdná jména, pravidelně zásoboval německou reprezentaci.
Pohár s legendami
Klub byl založen v roce 1900, první titul – mistr jižního Německa – získal o 26 let později. A za dalších šest let
se poprvé stal šampionem Německa. Když se v roce 1963 spojily všechny oblastní Oberligy do celostátní Bundesligy, v prvním ročníku skončil třetí, ale vyhrál německý pohár. Následující rok už třímal tehdejší Pohár vítězů pohárů a v jeho dresu byli hráči těch nejzvučnějších jmen, jako třeba brankář Sepp Maier, trojnásobný fotbalista roku v Německu, který celou svou kariéru strávil pouze v mnichovském klubu. Nebo dvojnásobný držitel Zlatého míče pro nejlepšího evropského fotbalistu Franz Beckenbauer, nazývaný „Kaiser Franz“. Či na první pohled neohrabaný Gerd Müller, ve skutečnosti však ohromně rychlý útočník a zabijácký střelec, který v roce 1972 dosáhl rekordu v počtu vstřelených branek za kalendářní rok, celkem jich dal 85. Překonal ho až v roce 2012 Argentinec Lionel Messi.
Vládce ligy
Současnost Bayernu je vlastně monotónní. V sezoně 2012/2013 získal ceněný „treble“, tedy vítězství v domácí lize, domácím poháru a k tomu i titul v Lize mistrů. A od té chvíle až doteď nebyl mistrem Německa nikdo jiný. Bayern obsadil trůn domácího šampiona osmkrát po sobě a i v právě probíhající sezoně se znovu pohybuje na špici tabulky. Jeho hráči mnohdy zápasy prolétají jakoby měli křídla. A vlastně je i mají. Oficiálním sponzorem klubu je totiž státní katarská letecká společnost Qatar Airways, která v létě 2018 nahradila na tomto postu německou Lufthansu. Sponzorství je zatím podepsáno do roku 2023. Podle listu Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung má smlouva hodnotu více než 12 milionů dolarů ročně.
Výkonným předsedou klubu je opět legenda, někdejší vynikající útočník Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, dvojnásobný držitel Zlatého míče z let 1980 a 1981. A jedním z členů výkonné rady a možným nástupcem Rummeniggeho je Oliver Kahn, další světově proslulý brankář, mistr Evropy a dvojnásobný medailista z mistrovství světa. Dalším členem je Hasan Salihamidžić, skvělý bosenský hráč, který nejdelší část kariéry strávil právě v Bayernu.
Známá jména
Bayernem prošla v historii řada hráčů světové kvality – Paul Breitner, Klaus Augenthaler, Dieter Hoeneß, Jean-Marie Pfaff, Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Bixente Lizarazu, Michael Ballack, Mark van Bommel, Franck Ribéry, Miroslav Klose, Arjen Robben a spousta dalších. V současnosti pak mezi všemi září diamant jménem Robert Lewandowski, čtyřnásobný nejlepší střelec německé ligy. A je ještě jedno jméno, které by mělo libě znít všem fanouškům československého fotbalu. Uli Hoeneß, hrávající na postu útočníka či záložníka, jedna z hvězd 70. let minulého století, mistr Evropy z roku 1972 a mistr světa z roku 1974. Ano, je to ten hráč, který ve finále mistrovství Evropy 1976 mezi Německem a Československem překopl v penaltovém rozstřelu branku hájenou Ivo Viktorem, a umožnil tak Antonínu Panenkovi získat svým „vršovickým dloubákem“ pro Československo zlatou medaili.
Giant Called Bayern

When all the regional Oberliga merged into the national Bundesliga in 1963, they finished third the first year, but won the German Cup. The following year, they held the then Cup Winners' Cup, and their jersey already wore players with the most resounding names, such as goalkeeper Sepp Maier, the three-time Footballer of the Year in Germany, who spent his entire career only in the Munich club. The league master
Though, recently Bayern has been a bit unexciting. In the 2012/2013 season, they won the prized "treble", i.e. the victory in the domestic league, the domestic cup and also the title in the Champions League. And from that moment on, no one else has won in the German championship. Bayern have taken the throne of the domestic champion eight times in a row and have stayed at the top of the chart again in the current season too. Their players often fly through matches as if they had wings. And they somehow do have them. The official sponsor of the club is the state-owned Qatar airline Qatar Airways, which replaced the German Lufthansa in the summer of 2018. The sponsorship is signed until 2023. According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the contract is worth more than $ 12 million a year.
The Executive Board Chairman of the club is another legend, former excellent striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, two-time holder of the Golden Ball from 1980 and 1981. And one of the members of the executive board and possible successor of Rummenigge is Oliver Kahn, another world-famous goalkeeper, European champion and two-time World Cup medallist. Another member is Hasan Salihamiji, a great Bosnian player, whose longest part of his career has been at Bayern.

Currently, the main shining diamond is Robert Lewandowski, the four-time top scorer of the German league. And there is another name all fans of Czech football like hearing, Uli Hoeneß, forward or midfielder, one of the stars of the 1970s, European champion of 1972 and world champion of 1974. Yes, that’s the player who stumbled in Germany versus Czechoslovakia finals of the 1976 European Championships. Shot beyond the goal that was being defended by Ivo Viktor and thus helped Antonín Panenka win a gold medal for Czechoslovakia with his "Vršovice aiming trick".
