Bolstering energy security and cooperation on matters of economy and defense. Those were the main topics of the February meeting between Prime Minister Petr Fiala, the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Government Sheikh Mansur bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Petr Fiala also visited one of the biggest arms fairs in the world, IDEX, where nearly 30 Czech defense companies appeared. "We discussed cooperation in terms of energy, development of modern technologies, cybernetics, and education as well as a mutual exchange of students between Czechia and the Emirates," stated Fiala. "One of the things we agreed on with Mr. President was that a trade delegation from his country would visit the Czech Republic to discuss economic cooperation on specific projects and investments in detail," he added.
