In spring 2025, Bratislava Fashion Days will celebrate its twentieth anniversary. Among the designers whose collections have helped weave this fashion chronicle is Renáta Kliská with her brand La Rena – a designer whose grace and artisanal precision have contributed for years to the prestige of this renowned event.
For thirteen years now, her name has been an inseparable part of Bratislava Fashion Days. Fashion designer and founder of La Rena, Renáta Kliská, presents collections year after year that celebrate femininity, luxury, and elegance. And just as the event’s prestige has grown, so has the La Rena brand – all the way to international runways and major accolades. “When I presented my first collection at Bratislava Fashion Days thirteen years ago, it was a great honor and challenge for me. Today, as we prepare for the twentieth anniversary edition, I look back with pride and see how far we’ve come – not just myself as a designer, but the entire event and the standard of Slovak fashion as a whole,” says Renáta Kliská. “Every year, I try to raise the bar higher and show what’s possible in this field.”
A distinct signature
La Rena bears the hallmark of exclusivity, elegance, and traditional craftsmanship. From the first doll dresses Renáta Kliská sewed at the age of six to the elaborate designs she has showcased in Paris, Cannes, London, Dubai, and New York, her journey has been long and determined. Her signature style is distinct – glamorous creations that dazzle while honoring feminine strength. The majestic elegance of her designs also impressed experts at one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events – the Fashion Oscars in Rome, where in December 2024 she received the St. Oscar European Fashion Award. “I had no idea what to expect. I presented my collection at the grand event, and then they announced my name and handed me the award right there on stage. It’s the European fashion Oscar,” she recalls. She accepted the award with humility: “Fame is fleeting, as the saying goes. I keep my feet firmly on the ground. But I must say, it’s also a commitment going forward. It gave me a push to keep going. When I see that people appreciate my work, it drives me. Thanks to moments like these, Slovak fashion is earning its place on the map.”

But Renáta Kliská has not forgotten where it all began – right at Bratislava Fashion Days, which has accompanied her on her professional journey for thirteen years. And there’s no better celebration of that connection than the upcoming anniversary edition. In spring 2025, Bratislava Fashion Days will become a grand festival of beauty, style, and talent. The event’s 20th anniversary will not only reflect on exceptional moments from the past, but also offer a glimpse into the future. La Rena will play a leading role – noble, bold, and radiant – alongside other acclaimed designers bringing the crème de la crème of Slovak fashion to the stage. On May 26 and 27, the carpet of elegance will once again unfurl in Bratislava. Fashion will spread its wings, and La Rena will step onto the stage like the queen of the night, ready to write the next chapter in the story of Slovak fashion. She will unveil a new collection that whispers stories of luxury. And it won’t be just any spectacle – it will be an open-air experience, within the historic walls of Bratislava Castle, where past meets future, grandeur meets beauty, and the spirit of history meets the spirit of fashion. This exceptional venue was personally chosen by the event’s director, Mária Reháková, as a symbol of celebration – to give the 20th anniversary the glamor it truly deserves.
