Allena Schillerová's Moravian roots

Former Minister of Finance, Alena Schillerová, vice-chair of the ANO movement, and chair of its South Moravian branch, is proud of her roots. To demonstrate her pride, she commissioned a bespoke folk costume.

Specifically one worn by women from Charvátská Nová Ves in the Podluží region. "I am from Southern Moravia after all, from a small village in the Tišnov region," she said in an interview for Aktuálně.cz. She mentioned on her social media that the creator of the garb is the seamstress Anna Straková. "She has been sewing folk costumes for over sixty years," added the ex-minister. "Folk music, singing, dancing, costumes, and good-natured people. That is Moravia, my birthplace," she stated on her Facebook page.
