On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Prague hosted a distinguished iftar dinner marking the breaking of the daily fast at sunset. The event was held under the auspices of His Excellency Metin Feyzioğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Czech Republic and Chair of the Prague Group of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Among the guests were Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, former President Václav Klaus, and Petr Angyalossy, President of the Supreme Court. Numerous ambassadors, senior state officials, academics, and other distinguished guests also attended. They included Tünde Bartha, Head of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, and Eliška Hašková-Coolidge, who shared inspiring reflections and memorable experiences from her time at the White House. In his welcoming address, Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu expressed sincere gratitude to all attendees. In his speech, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš emphasized the importance of maintaining open and direct communication between his government and international partners. He highlighted the positive development of bilateral relations and underlined the need to expand economic cooperation and dialogue. “We want to support the exports of Czech companies, and friendly relations are the foundation,” he later noted on his social media. A special highlight of the evening was the culinary cooperation of OIC member states. Participating embassies presented traditional national dishes, offering guests a rich and diverse showcase of cuisines from across the Islamic world.
