Advisor to the minister of foreign affairs, Michaela Marksová, came to the State of Qatar for a work related visit during the second week of June. She was accompanied by Martin Horák from the Board of trade for GCC countries as well as the ambassador to the states of Kuwait and Qatar, Martin Dvořák, who provided professional assistance.
The main topic of the visit was the strengthening of mutual economic relations and the resumption of direct bilateral political dialogue following a hiatus caused by pandemic restrictions. Michaela Marksová consecutively met with the Minister and Chief of the Amiri Diwan (the Emir's cabinet), the Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, and the Assistant Foreign Minister. She also visited the Aspire Academy sports center, the ASPETAR healthcare and therapeutic facility, and the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar.
