On the occasion of the 18th academic year, CEVRO College and the C-EDUCA Foundation signed a Cooperation and Support Agreement. It is supposed to help transform Cevro College into a university-type higher-education institution – CEVRO University.
The goal is to create – in terms of the number of students – a limited-program but elite education institution with strong science and research potential and intensive international collaboration in the form of joint programs of study with universities abroad. The collaboration will enable the development of already existing bachelor's and master's programs in the fields of political science, international relations, public and private law, economics, and security, and the addition of new ones, including PhD studies.
Personalities and programs
There are additional plans to bolster the academic staff roster by adding new prominent personalities from the ranks of respected academics and experts from both the public and private sectors, increasing the quality of already existing – and developing new – programs of study, and bolstering science and research initiatives. The agreement further outlines the intent to establish scholarships that will do away with potential social barriers for gifted and motivated students during their private university studies. This collaboration with a strategic partner will enable lectures to take place on CEVRO College's own, newly refurbished premises in a complex of historical buildings in the center of Prague.
A significant endeavor

The founders of the C-EDUCA Foundation represent not only new members of the College's Honorary Board but also prominent personalities whose expertise and business experience will be put to use in forming and upholding its Strategic Development Plan,” says Ivan Langer, founder of CEVRO College and chair of the CEVRO College Board of Directors. Pavel Tykač, founder of the C-EDUCA Foundation and member of the CEVRO College Honorary Board adds to his point, “I have been supporting education for quite some time now, and I am excited by this project. I'm glad to be able to contribute to the formation of a university that leads its students toward critical thinking and that openly aligns itself with values that I hold dear: freedom, rule of law, market economy, and liberal democracy. Given the history of CEVRO and its potential for future growth, René Holeček and I established the C-EDUCA Foundation, which will serve as CEVRO College's partner in fulfilling its ambitions of becoming a university. This complex process will take several years and the total expenses could climb as high as a billion crowns.”
THE SCHOOL
CEVRO College is a private university based in Prague. It offers higher education in six bachelor's and six master's programs as well as nine subsequent post-graduate MPA, LLM, MBA, and PGDJ programs, which currently have over 800 students. More than 2,600 graduates have successfully completed at least one of CEVRO's programs since its establishment in September 2006. The school was established as a non-profit entity, initially as a public benefit corporation, later transforming into an institute following the implementation of the new civil code. Following its establishment, it used the name CEVRO College Institute, which has changed to CEVRO College as of this academic year.
