A traditional part of the accompanying programme of the International Engineering Fair in Brno has for years been the Business Day of the Russian Federation organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Economic Relations with the CIS, a special chamber of commerce. This was no different at the already 60thtrade fair held from 1stto 5thOctober.
Under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Chamber of Commerce CIS prepared a traditional meeting with representatives of Russian regions and a presentation of institutions focused on supporting Czech exports on 2ndOctober. This year, a number of important and interesting guests also spoke to more than a hundred representatives of the industry: Minister of Industry and Trade, Marta Nováková; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Georgi Kalamanov; the Ambassadors of both countries, Alexandr Zmejevsky and Vítězslav Pivoňka; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Martin Tlapa; President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, Vladimír Dlouhý; and President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Hanák.
Three important entities of the Russian Federation were represented: Ulyanovsk Oblast were introduced by the head of the regional government, Alexandr Smekalin; Sverdlovsk Oblast by First Deputy Governor Alexei Orlov and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast by the Minister of Economic Development of the region, Igor Norenkov.
The traditional event of the CIS Chamber once again received a positive response among the representatives of Czech companies. The Business Day of Belarus, which was prepared by the SNS Chamber for the next day, 3rdOctober 2018, received equally good feedback.
